Faculty of correspondence education
Correspondence education faculty is the faculty of Anadolu University that was established in 1982 and provides services to students through the distance education method. AÖF is a system that provides great comfort to students who want to study at a university, but cannot study due to financial incapacity, or who cannot study in the city they live in, but do not have the opportunity to study at another university. those who do not have the opportunity to study in urban and formal universities. Since there is no obligation to attend the Faculty of Correspondence Education, this is a system where you can only participate in exams without taking classes.
In addition to being a system serving all parts of Turkey, the Faculty of Correspondence Education serves Turkish citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, other Turkish Republics and Western Europe.
How does the faculty of correspondence education work?
Classes are conducted in the AEF through mass media. TRT School channel broadcasts 12 hours a day about open education courses, students are informed about various topics. Information about courses and exams is provided on the website of Anadolu University "aof e-learning" and hundreds of forum websites. There are AOF offices in almost every province. Through these offices, AEF provides students with information on each subject and provides all textbooks needed for education free of charge.
Another benefit of the open education system, which is not known to students, is the provision of courses in different universities determined by Anadolu University every year for AÖF students. In other words, students can benefit from face-to-face education as in the formal system.
What is the difference between part-time education and other faculties?
All departments included in the structure of AEF are no different from departments in other universities that provide formal education. Since the units are equivalent to each other, AÖF students can enjoy all the social rights enjoyed by other university students. The only difference is that you don't have to go to university.
Rules of admission to the faculty of correspondence education
The first condition to enter the Faculty of Correspondence Education is to participate in the university entrance exam. Some departments in AÖF have no quota. Thus, any student can enter the minimum terms and conditions. But some departments have quota limit. Students who scored slightly higher than the minimum passing score can participate. In addition, AÖF offers a second university opportunity for candidates who have graduated from any formal university. In other words, you can study at a second university without taking the entrance exam. For this, you need to follow the second university registration time without exams.
Programs in the Faculty of Correspondence
AÖF has 2 programs such as bachelor's and associate's program. In addition, according to the type of quota, it is divided into 2, such as those with a quota and those without.
Departments with limited quotas have the same conditions as other bachelor's and master's programs. For departments with unlimited quota; Graduates of technical lyceum and vocational lyceum can go directly to AÖF associate degree programs corresponding to their majors without taking a university exam.
Technical lyceum and vocational lyceum graduates can enter AÖF bachelor's and associate's programs outside of their fields by collecting 140 points from any type of points they will receive from YGS.
Students who graduated from high schools other than technical high schools and vocational high schools can enter YGS with a raw score of 140 and above from any type of score.
Candidates who have been placed in any program other than AÖF at YGS and LYS have the right to enroll in AÖF bachelor's and associate's programs other than the department in which they are registered without re-examination. They can continue their studies simultaneously in both AEF and formal programs, provided that they are not in the same field.
Quota Restriction in Faculty of Open Education
